1. About SEOscoper

SEOscoper is a Chrome Extension designed for SEO professionals and web developers. It provides an overview of on-page SEO elements of any webpage a user visits, such as meta tags, heading structure, images, and links. The tool is intended to help users conduct quick SEO audits directly in their browser.

  • Any form of sensitive personal information (e.g., financial, medical, or government ID numbers)

In summary: No personal data is ever collected or processed by SEOscoper.

3. How the Extension Works

SEOscoper functions entirely within your browser and performs read-only access on the currently active tab when you click the extension icon. Specifically, it gathers publicly available content from the page to display the following:

  • Meta Title and Meta Description
  • Keywords and Robots Tags
  • Canonical URL and Page URL
  • Author and Publisher tags
  • Page Language
  • Heading structure (H1–H6)
  • Image data (total count, alt/title attributes)
  • Link data (internal/external links, with or without text/title)

All of this information is retrieved locally and temporarily, only when you interact with the extension. SEOscoper does not retain this information or transmit it to any external server or third party.

4. Permissions

SEOscoper requires the following permissions to function properly:

  • activeTab – to access the content of the current tab when the user activates the extension
  • scripting – to inject a content script that reads SEO-related data from the page

These permissions are only used when you manually interact with the extension and are not used for any form of background tracking or monitoring.

5. No Third-Party Services

SEOscoper does not use any third-party analytics, advertising networks, or external services. It does not connect to or communicate with any outside servers.

6. No Remote Code

All scripts and resources used by SEOscoper are packaged within the extension and reviewed during submission to the Chrome Web Store. No remote JavaScript, WebAssembly (WASM), or dynamic code loading is used.

7. Data Security

Since we do not collect or store any user data, there is no risk of data exposure or breach associated with our extension. All operations occur locally in the user’s browser.

8. Children’s Privacy

SEOscoper is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. However, as no personal data is collected, we comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
